Business & Economics in China

Wide choice and the widest quality spread. Check accreditation and cohort composition before choosing — an English-taught MBA can be excellent or empty depending on the school.

Why this field

What Business & Economics involves, and who it suits

Business and economics offer the widest choice and the widest quality spread of any field here. An English-taught MBA can be excellent or empty depending on the school, and the cohort composition matters as much as the ranking. Finance and international trade sit alongside cheaper, less selective bachelor programmes. Choose on the employer network, not the brochure. A school whose graduates actually recruit into the roles you want is worth more than a famous name with a thin international track record.

Where it leads

What the degree is actually for

Common next steps for graduates of this field in China and at home.

One thing to check before you commit. Accreditation and cohort quality vary sharply. Some English-taught business degrees are thin on local recruitment and full of other international students. Check where last year's graduates actually went before you treat the name as a credential.
Questions students actually ask

Straight answers

The leading business schools run English-taught MBA and finance master's. Lower-tier programmes may mix Chinese, so confirm the language of instruction for your cohort specifically.
Bachelor's business runs about 18,000–40,000 CNY per year. An English-taught MBA is the top of the band at 40,000–90,000 CNY per year, and usually expects two to three years of work experience.
For finance and international trade it signals China-market knowledge, which global employers value. For local-practice accounting it is less portable. Judge it by where graduates land, not by the school name.
